I agree with you on the differences and also the confusion. (smile)

I practice as well written with good seamen imagery talks about the creation of songs Through poetry and ask questions like very little um except that poems are more deeper and more important than songs I disagree with that they're both words being utilized by a writer poet who has a gift and feel the emotions poetry comes in many forms with songs being just one of them that doesn't make it any more important thanks for this talk to Ricky 2010 24

I never knew writing poems and songs was different. Every time I hear a great song, I'm reminded of a poem that had music added to it. Wait a minute. I have seen a guitar and piano playings composing songs. So, I guess you have a point.

Actually, they are all true, so you only missed one. That is pretty good indeed!
I will explain much more in the threads of the Lyrics Make The Song Club.
Thanks for your answers and the review. Appreciate them very much.

Actually these are all true statements. I will elaborate their explanations in the threads of the Lyrics Make The Song Club.
Appreciate you taking the time to read them and to answer these questions.
Your reviews are always appreciated.

I take this as more of an enticement to visit the other thread rather than input on this one, which has already determined our answer. I think both are verse which can be put to music where meter doesn't matter.

A very well-written informative piece about the differences between poetry and song lyrics. It is not an easy task as I find out the last few days to get song lyrics right, and acceptable takes a lot of head scratching.

ooh I love riddles. It is a very good question though I must admit
hmmm What is the difference between lyrics and poems?
I would have thought firstly that lyrics are accompanied by music but I could be wrong

Riddles? These are not "riddles" they are questions. Snide comments are what have created an issue between us. If it comes to muting I have no problems with doing so.
-
You know what Brett you wantb snide comments I innocently gave you an explanation of why world and held rhymed in Australia and the differences in our two countries phonetic pronunciations and certain spelling
I was not condescending or facetious or what ever big word you wanted to use it certainly wasn't a dissertation.
for some reason you took offence to it and your reasons were lame
Of course I am bemused
If you want to mute me go ahead but I will continue to read your informative posts
But if it pleases you I won't comment

I would much prefer you did not as I certainly will not review your writings. You can also post that in the forum as you did our previous discussion about this matter. I would have thought instead of making the matter public knowledge, you and I could have resolved it between us. Obviously, I gave you too much credit for that. My reasons were lame? To your way of thinking perhaps. However, to me your response was very condescending, as if you were telling me I was too stupid to know the difference between American English and the so called "Queen's English". That is why I take exception to it. Do I want to mute you? No. I would rather not waste a mute on you. However, I will not accept your snide comments on my writings. Save them for someone who will play that game with you. Perhaps now will be a good time for you to run to the forum and post what I have just written. I am sure when I read through the forum later today I will see it there.
-
Brett you are such a pompous prick really I have bitten my tongue with your replies.
The ONLY reason I took it to the forum was nothing to do with you but it did raise the question of why we have different pronunciation' s due to accents in different countries. IIt is called the 'Queens English' because I assume that is where the English language originated from )
This subject of pronunciation has come up many times in my reviews and being Australian it is totally understandable and I accept that because as I said it IS an American site .
It's obvious your command of the English language and your ability to write it far exceeds many on here including myself.
I am puzzled why giving you a simple explanation to the point you raised about 'world' and 'held' not rhyming was so condescending, on the contrary.
You have a very healthy ego as I said and there is nothing wrong with that. I just get upset when you twist and turn what I say and accuse me of running to the forum like a little kid.
The forum is a place where we ask or answer questions such as this your name was never mentioned at all as it had really nothing to do with you.
There was nothing wrong with the subject matter as it is only one person made a comment so to everyone else it was insignificant anyway
Brett, I am a very easy going guy without an ego
I love this place. I love the diversity of writers and their styles. It is a huge learning curve for me as I only discovered the passion to write 7 years ago.
My simple style doesn't suit everyone and I wouldn't expect it to. Your above reply was totally unnecessary and unfair but I can live with that because I am a big boy.
Try reading over this whole transaction from start to finish like I have just to see why you feel I have irked you so much
I am sure you will come back with your usual big worded retort impressing with your command of the Queen's english
There is one thing you must learn in life is that everyone has an opinion, every one has there own taste. Like my poetry as well not everyone will like what you write not everyone will like your Cody Schroder. On that I just admire people like you who can write stories like that. I am not a reader so other than poetry I don't read many stories on here but funnily enough I do read your posts and enjoy them so yes I am taken aback by how this whole thing has grown out of proportion at least you have 900 other people on fanstory to turn to and that's the beauty of the site 'one person's trash is another's treasure.
