What a lovely thought, Mike.
The sad sentiments expressed here are an all too real reality for many families.
But just as the poor mother in your poem was about to give up and toss in the towel, God, in His infinite wisdom, brought her and her son, Landon, a shining beacon of hope and light.
Sure, I still believe in the Spirit of Santa. It is the joy found in the eyes of children and adults alike all over the world.
Wonderfully well written poem.
I wish I still had a six...

I have been fortunate through the years to be a Giver and each New Year I try to observe all of those individuals I come in contact with to look for that one individual or family to do what you have so Beautifully Penned in this writing.
This Thanksgiving and this Christmas I have been able to continue to find two single parent families who where needing a break in their lives and have accomplished my goal in easing their pain.
I had been a single parent with three children four-ten and eleven working two full time jobs and only getting 3 and 4 hours sleep a night and know quite well the meaning of this extraordinary writing.
I wish I could have Penned and used the last line of your writing:
"I'm so glad I finally found you"...Santa.

I'm so glad you were able to help a couple of families, that's what Christmas is all about. This is the toughest time of year for single parents and just a little kindness becomes a huge blessing for them. In our little way, we were able to buy presents for 8 children this year. Keep up the great work, my friend!

What a beautiful poem and your notes are so nice.
I got triple blessings today for Christmas. My friend brought her grandchildren to see me. They each had a homemade card wishing me a Merry Christ,as with a cute message on each. The after dark this evening the neighbor brought her grandchildren over to sing a couple of Christmas songs to me. The just minutes ago I got a message from my youngest daughter is going to be here to deliver my gift in person. I am so blessed. Patricia
