The story is really taking shape, Sandra. It's a good thing she left him at the altar and didn't go into a loveless marriage. I didn't notice any spag, but I'm late to the chapter.

It wasn't very nice for Gwendolyn, but Veronica will be back!!! Miss you too, but I so understand. I'm thinking of you, my dear friend. Just take care of you as well. It's hard, I know. Another big hug and lots more love. Sandra xxxxxxx

-Another good chapter, Sandra.
-Like Ver., Gwendolyn did not find
Jacob at the missionary church.
- Sir John was not happy about anything, esp. after he
saw Francis. Now we know why Joe shouldn't go to see
Sir John.
-Even if he did, G. feels nothing would help Francis.
-She even feels that it would break Jacob's heart if he
were able to be found and told.
-Hopefully, it is not a no-win situation for Francis yet;
not if Ver. has anything to do with it!
-And what a wonderful ending:
'Oh, Lordy, Miss Veronica!'
-As one of Mildred's biggest fans, that made me
smile. Nice for Ver. to be home, too.

I smiled too when I read you smiled when you saw Mildred back again. When I have finished the trilogy I am thinking of writing a story about her. I think it could be a really fun write.

Thank you so much, my dear friend, for another lovely review and all those wonderful golden stars. You always bring a smile to my face . Veronica now has her work cut out, but hopefully Mildred and James will help. Sending you a special hug, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

I am glad you smiled, too, you know I love Mildred🙂 What fun her story would be! Of course, you know what she would say!! You are very welcome and deserving of the review and stars, Sandra.

Oh, what tangled webs we weave and you are a master weaver
at least a master literary one
Just when the intrigue was growing, whoosh
away we go back into the present
You've crossed the t's and dotted the i's quite nicely
Of course, we know that Gwendolyn was left alone
to raise the child, so Jacob's early departure,
likely thinking Gwendolyn would be marrying Randolph,
makes perfect sense.
It's good to hear MIldred's voice once again.
Exceptional chapter

You have it absolutely right with Jacob thinking Gwendolyn was now married. Well done! Now Veronica has a few things to sort out, not forgetting Joe as well. She's going to be very busy, lol, it's lucky I know she can handle it!

Thank you so very much, Robert, for another of your wonderful review and for the shiny 6 stars!! I'm glad you like Mildred too. Big hugs, dear friend. :) Sandra xx

I'm reading a few of your delightful poems every day. You must be so proud, as I'm sure Pam is too. I'm proud to know you both. Once I've finished it, I'll put a review on Amazon. :) xxx

This story continues to be a winner. So she had a baby by the albino Jacob and her son has the same light blue eyes, right? John has every right to be angry, but he had no right to ask her to marry him, so I think they've both suffered enough, and I hope he doesn't have a way to hurt her chances at happiness.

This has clear images of the wedding and her leaving him at the alter. I think she did the right thing there to not enter into a loveless marriage. It is wrong though not to tell the father. The son might not get treated like the father or be able to handle it better.

Keep writing

Happy Holidays.

The chapters in continuation to the conclusion are expressive and flow of thoughts appears free and reasoned; truly exposed love is blind; I like. DR ALCREATOR

Hi, Sandra;
I was holding my breath as I read Gwendolyn's story. How awful for her. It seems that time has not erased the pains a woman must suffer through when she follows her heart,

Looking forward to more,

This is a thoroughly engaging read with no errors to be found. You really know when to pull the rug out from under the reader as just when I was totally rapt poof she is back in her own time again. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

A tale of ancient passion with a timeless consequence. A tale that resonates authenticity, conducted within a small family/social group. Isolated from neighbours as they were in those times.

My mind is full of images as I read this endearing chapter where Gwendolyn has the strength of character to walk away from a potentially loveless marriage.

I could find no faults with this work.

Another great chapter there Sandra.
