I love the poinsettia. Which reminds me, I haven't bought one yet this year. Time to get out and get one.

It sounds like you have been friends of there's for a long time.

I must admit I'd never heard of a poinsettia until now Patty. A beautifully scribed poem Patty, Is this for a friend, I often write for those that don't. I have written a few in the last couple of years. Well done, beautifully written in your own distinct articulate style my friend, blessings, Roy blessings,

A beautiful poem that brings the lovely poinsettia a story of love from beginning to last breath of romance! Not quite rhyming, but more free-versed; the ending though sad, brings the charm of poinsettia to a full circle of life. Nicely done!

I adore these plants and I am surrounded by them just now, delightful to look at and easy to take care of. Your poem is heartfelt and warm with wonderful memories and a great tribute to your friend, love Dolly x

This starts out as a lovely 'Love' poem and then ends as a sad 'Love' poem.
Well done.
This tells a clear story. The emotions can be strongly felt.
Well done.

O.M.G. I wasn't expecting an ending like that. I was being carried merrily along with your happy little poem then Boom!
I am so glad it's not true. Well done.

Such a happy, but sorrowful poem. I felt the life story from first date to marriage, and this was so fascinating about the red flowers. So sad was the ending when wife passed away. Sent chills down my spines. truly liberty justice

Oh, my...
I have to admit, I didn't see that ending coming from a mile away, Patty.
So sad...in a way.
It's sad because the husband narrating the poem lost his beloved wife.
Although in another sense, it evokes a feeling of peaceful serenity knowing he loved her this much.
Do you get where I'm coming from?
Excellent...

That was both sad and lovely, Patty, and very nicely written. Your friend had a happy and loving relationship with his wife, and I know he will miss her dreadfully. I enjoyed this, my friend, but was so sad at the end. Big hugs. :) Sandra xx
