Oh Maria Jose, this is a beautiful free verse poem about opening the door to cage and to become free. I find it has several interpretations. Not only letting a bird or any other animals, but it certainly applies to us humans as well. Daring to let go and be free. I wish I had a six for this wonderful poem. Very, very well written. A very well-written poem. A bird in a cage is never as happy as a bird that roams free without chains holding them back. When they return on their own it means they know where they belong.
