Wow, what a beautiful romantic and passionate poem! I love the imagery-- lots of movement and visual silhouette images.
Also, I love the alliteration of the "S" sounds. Your words were carefully chosen with precision.

A very well-written free verse poem. Candlelight means different things to different people. The most common perception is romance with someone we love or simply the electric power is off.

Good morning, estory: As I read this poem, I felt the emotion in the words. I could see the couple moving quietly in the shadows, the soft touches, the flickering of the candle, giving off just enough light to feed the scene and add to the shadowy visions on the wall. It is all so lovely, the way you have written this. It feels lovely and it reads very well.

Good morning, estory: As I read this poem, I felt the emotion in the words. I admired your alliteration of "s's" and repeats of the "whisper" image, along with your vivid "fingertips" simile. You certainly succeeded in capturing an impressionistic image of lovers. Cheers- Joan

Nicely done. I think you achieved what you set out- an abstract piece open for interpretation. It's got enough to lead the reader but not so much as to force all to one experience. Once again, nice job!
