What a wonderful chapter! You manage to guide the reader through the events that led up to the conception of Francis, and the way you explain it, leaves us in no doubt that Gwendolyn had no choice but to escape the miserable life she would have if she married Randolph. But what does she do now?
I can't wait to find out!
Hugs from France,

Well what can I say? It is a fairly big twist in the story Sandra, but nevertheless one I should have seen coming, how else could Gwendolyn have conceived a child? So Jacob is the father, I was just wondering if the gene is similar to a red haired gene? Well done, excellent progress in the story, you're proving to be a real novelist, a good one too. Good job, blessings, Roy

Thank you for another wonderful review, and for that lovely compliment, my dear friend. Albinism is an inherited condition, it's the same as redheads. Albinos have a missing gene which causes the strange red eye and white hair. Thank you again, my friend. Big hug. :) Sandra xxx

"The Wedding" is an interesting tale of love and hate. It defines the thin line between the emotions subtly. This is a well written story with some twists within. It may the British spelling but should realise be realize? Though the story was lengthy , it was an intriguing read. Anxious to read about the pregnancy and its effect. Thank you for sharing.

Blessings,
Brigitte

Your writing is most impressive, Sandra - I think she's done the right thing by not marrying him, altho it was a hard decision.

Most enjoyable, my talented friend.

What a lovely compliment, thank you so much, Margaret! Gwendolyn has to face her brother now, and he will not be impressed. I don't think I would have like to live in those days. I hope you are still improving, (and resting) my friend. Big hugs. Sandra xxxx

Definitely an intriguing chapter, Sandra. It answered a lot of questions that had been teasing one's mind. It was well plotted and I really enjoyed how you easily flowed between the times- Veronica's and then Gwendolyn's. It was indeed a wise decision she made by running from the wedding and Randolph even if it was the most difficult decision she ever had to make. He would not have been right for her. Now the hard parts are ahead. Hopefully Frances will be reunited with Jason. Very well done, thanks my friend.

A woman on her wedding day would be highly sensitive to her emotions. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very interesting read. There is very good imagery.

G'day Cousin.

I've been waiting for this, to see who the dude is.

"'I wasn't at all surprised when he later told me he was a teacher at the local missionary church.'" (Ah, there ya go!)

"'Any mention of Jacob, and your friend would(will... as in present tense, I think.) be in deeper trouble.'"

"Let me tell you a bit about Jacob first. That way you will understand more fully.'" (Yes, I agree. I know you are excited, woman... but shut up so I can hear about him please! Lol.)

"I secretly met Jacob almost every day at a little(-)used barn where"

"'Especially in the upper level where the hay is fully dried.'" (Ah, so, that's where it happened. Cosy!)

" 'Yes. Apparantly,(Apparently,) it was a gradual happening, although his"

"At last, a smile the melancholy that had been holding Gwendolyn's emotions hostage." (I've read this line six or seven times and something seems wrong, but I'm not sure what. Sorry. Check it out and let me know what you think... I'm curious. Maybe a comma after "smile.")

"'It either is, or it isn't,' I told her." (Take out the dialogue tag because you have the same in the line before it.)

"But we had nowhere to go, and neither of us had the means to support a life together.' " (God, that's sad. Well placed.)

"'As I said before, I believed I had no choice at the time." (Damn!)

" Instead of an encouraging smile, he pulled out his pocket watch and frowned!" (Shit I hate men!)

Wow, she ran out of the church! Go you good thing and never, ever, look back! I sure didn't.

What a brilliant chapter, mate. So sad, and yet with a finish that thrilled me, because I know how it feels to be in a place where you are not wanted, or even liked.

You are a star writer. I got so excited reading this chapter as you can probably tell lol.

Delia says "Kumusta."

Cheers Fez

Thank you - thank you, my lovely, wonderful cousin!! You picked up hundreds of errors which I've now corrected. That line you couldn't work out, OMG! I left a word out. this is what it should have said....
.... At last, a smile penetrated the melancholy that had been holding Gwendolyn?s emotions hostage...

One word and it threw the whole sentence out. I'm so glad you told me. Thank you also for the lovely 6 stars, dear Walu, (I like that name,) Your reviews always give me a chuckle. If I lived near you, I would come and give you a big hug. :) (with Delia's permission, but cousins are allowed to hug, aren't they? lol.)

MY BOOK HAS BEEN PUBLISHED!!! IT'S ON AMAZON! Now my nerves are playing up. It is so nerve-racking. Just wait till yours is out there. Thanks again, you've been so supportive, and I love you for it. Give Delia a hug from me! xxxxxx

Woooohoooo! Congrats my special cousin... that is soooooo cool! I hope you sell millions.

It is strange how one simple word can change to whole line. Crazy huh?

Wow, I'm so happy for you that I'm going to go and buy some beer and celebrate tonight. The problem is Delia is out collecting money from yesterdays pork sale and Boy has gone home for the day... Ummmmm... what could possibly go wrong if I go by myself?

Nothing you say? Ah, okay, if something does I'll just tell Delia it's your fault hahahahaha!

Thank you my precious cousin!! I'm just so excited. No, I can't see any problem you going out on your own to have a beer! It might take them a while to find you, but I'm sure they will by Christmas!! LOL.
