I would have never attempted using prayer in a syllable counting poem, so bravo. Good Christmas season 5-7-5 entry poem. Very evocative and a solid hopeful end to lead us into a New Year. Enjoyed it.

Dear patty, There are so many stars up there, but only one can truly be yours. I loved the picture - I felt as though I was wishing, and the different tones of blue mixed with the blackness of night made me feel as though I was under the stars. Dove

Wish upon a star
With prayer, faith, hope, and love
Dreaming can't be wrong


The power of prayer itself can work wonders, Patty - my brother who was dying with cancer - morphine injections into his stomach every day for pain - is now in remission - how wonderful is that! Praying really does bring results.

This is a lovely little poem - with a strong message - and a great presentation.

This is a very beautiful 5-7-5 poem you have penned about wishing on a star with prayer, faith, hope and love. I remember wishing on stars when I was a small child. Now that I am older I realize my hope, wish, faith and prayers are in God! Beautiful job my friend. love the art work too! Teri

Thanks for that note. I never know whether words like "prayer" or "fire" are one syllable or two. Good 5-7-5. We all do have hopes and dreams and wishes. We can pray and let our Heavenly Father determine the best answer.

Yes 'dreaming can't be wrong '- surely not ...aren't we encouraged and persuaded to lmagine, visualise and dream --to achieve our hopes and ambitions -- a nice feisty touch to this 5/7/5 almost admonishing the reader if they don't lol- well done
