Aww, I'm so sorry, Patty, I had everything crossed for you to get that lovely home. All I can say is, it didn't happen because there is a home out there that is waiting for you to find it. Much better than the one you lost. It happens that way sometimes, and I'm sure it's going to happen to you. Keep your head up, and who knows what will pop up in your Christmas cards! Big hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xx

It's all good - found a house and we will be moving mid-January; want to get some projects done before we move in,

Comment from Bob Stanton
Very good as usual and once again you're in my head. We have just sold our house after being here 30 years and have to move out by 8 January. Frantically searching for something to suit us else its renting for 3-6 months and a double move of 8 people, 6 cats and three dogs along with accumulated hoardings of 30 years.
We looked at over 20 properties and made offers on two, and also over-offered and got nowhere, and then the right one just popped up at the right price.
They say, "When the pupil is ready the teacher will appear." , perhaps, "When the buyer is ready, the right house will appear?"
Don't lose faith, it will happen when it should.
Now, back to packing.....Aaaaagh!!

Good morning, Patty: Thank you for keeping us in mind as you search for your home. It will no doubt, encourage some of us who also want to buy a home.
I am so sorry that the first house went to the other offer. That was such a gorgeous dream come true home.
Is so strange that your offer was higher, yet it still went to the other offer. That is unusual. Perhaps this means that there is something more special or more meant for you - waiting for you to get to it. I am hoping deeply for your soon success.

great!
Comment from Natali Holden
That makes no sense to me. Why sell it to someone for less money than they could've gotten? Maybe there's an even better home you'll find. Good luck with finding the right home! Happy Thanksgiving!

Patty,
Hello. I hope everything is doing okay, and you get that house! It is a very pretty color. It's hard when you are busy doing other things and Thanksgiving is around the corner.
Happy Thanksgiving!

This hits home. I spent last week with my daughter while she house hunted--texting photos and numbers back to her husband.
Her Realtor must have used the refrain, "it's a sellers market" thirty times.
Good luck, the home is waiting.

Hi, Kerry;
We are the 'backup offer' on this house, but we are working on the deal for another house. I'm thinking we will stay with the house we are working on now - these people were really foolish for turning down more money,

Boo. I'm sorry. That result makes no sense. I hope that what you end up finding is a better deal for you and gives you all that you need and want. I like the way you put this search into words with this rhyme scheme.

Hi, Angela;
Well, all hope isn't lost. We have been placed in the 'backup offer' position on the first house and last night we put an offer in on a gorgeous Craftsman home. I'm feeling confident we will be starting a deal SOON!

Comment from Margaret Snowdon
Well, I can relate to this exactly - moving is not easy - and there's so many
"let-downs" along the way - I hope you find somewhere soon and all goes
smoothly (not like ours - the solicitors kept our contracts hanging around for months over petty things - your pets will wonder what's going on when the time comes to move.
Thought I'd pop in for a while.
Blessings,
Margaret

Good morning, Patty
Enjoyed the rhyme. A bit of a holiday vibe mixed in with one's search for a home and the emotions toed to searching for a house to buy and call your own. Enjoyed.
Take care and stay safe,
Ray
