A very cute, seasonally appropriate, contest entry. I don't see any grammatical errors. You have followed syllabication rules, you have entered the contest when you should, I have not a thing to pick on. ADid I write 150 characters yet? LOL

This is very cute and so true. I remember, as a kid, listening for every little sound before falling asleep on Christmas Eve and the excitement with anticipation. Good luck in the contest. Marilyn

Hi, Marilyn;
Thank you so much for reading and reviewing my little Christmas poem. I think I'm more excited this year - both grandkids are aware of 'Santa.'

Children do make the holiday for us. I find that I'm quite excited myself this year. I hope you get good news on your house soon. You will have to let us all know what happens. The right and perfect house will be there for you--don't worry. Marilyn

Hi, Marilyn;
We didn't get the house on Sesame Street (the one in the picture - the other offer was accepted.) So, we are looking at two houses this afternoon.
Thank you for your prayers and concern,
~patty~

Patty--I know you're disappointed, but the right and perfect house will be there for you--just waiting, waiting. Let me know. Marilyn

Good morning, Patty
Ah, this time of year. In a few short words you've captured the thoughts and emotions of children waiting for Santa to appear.
Take care and stay safe,
Ray

This is a good entry for the contest. Nothing seems forced into the 2-4-2 format. The picture works perfectly for this poem. I hope Santa finds you in Virginia! :)

Excellent offering for Christmas. It captures the excitement of the season. Good use of sounds to form the sensory connection of the season. 2-4-2 is short but you packed it well. Good luck in the contest.

HO-HO-HO-HO! I find the formatting requirement is perfectly accomplished.
And it is a cheery blessing, so what's to say? Good Luck in the contest and keep up the good work, just like Santa.

I enjoyed your sharing your anticipation of the holiday season in this tiny poem. Your 2-4-2 is exuberant and your alliteration of "s's" adds to the energy. Best wishes in the contest- Joan
