Good morning, Patty: Congratulations, I hope that your next announcement will be that you are moving into your new house. This is so wonderful. It really looks like a nice home, full of space. My sister's house in Ohio is shaped just like this one and it is enormous inside. Yet the yard goes on and on. That house is magnificent. This is a great six-word story entry.

Hi, Marilyn;
Yes, that is a picture of the house. It has been remodeled to include new vinyl windows and laminate wood in all of the rooms except the bedrooms where there is new carpet. The landscaping should be easy to care for, and I will have two fireplaces -one in the family room, and one in the living room.

Its been almost fifteen years since we've owned our own home, and I can't wait!

Thank you for your good wishes. We should have a definitive answer by tomorrow (Sunday.) We might be able to close before Christmas, but we won't get all moved in until after the holidays - we are going to Virginia to visit my daughter and her family for Christmas!!

Wow! I will be there too, right after Christmas. My mom is from Hampton so we gather there after Christmas every year. My grandfather worked at Langley.

I enjoyed this piece and angst created through your descriptive words however I wonder if without the picture, I would actually know what you were wishing for.

Maybe a new car? LOL
Your next new job?
An adorable pet?

All of these things might be something you've found and are hoping like crazy to attain...right down to crossing your fingers and wishing for a bit of good old Lady Luck.

I hope you see what I mean. So the fact this doesn't quite elude to anything clearly is the reason for the four.

I DID enjoy it but felt it fell a little short of the mark for this style of poem. You really have to not only pack a punch, but imo it HAS to work without a picture aswell, after all, it is poetry. And poetry is about the visuals created through words read.

Not to worry...fortunately the site allows a picture and I think there probably could only have been a few possible choices as to what this might be.

I hope the price is right for you.
I have my fingers AND legs crossed. I can do the arms as well if you're running short on luck haha

I do see what you mean - the vagueness of the words kept the piece from packing the punch that is needed in a short piece.

I never thought about people dropping the prices during the holidays. It makes sense if you think about it, but I didn't know it.
