I always wondered what his problem was ...... Your story flowed very well,
in the Lewis Carroll tradition.... Well done !!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!!

I surely enjoyed this piece, including the artwork. Alice is one of my faves, and you certainly did this microcosm well. I laughed out loud and read it again. I'm always delightfully surprised when I'm reviewing to have my own work reviewed. One never knows what they're going to get. This was wonderful and I see nothing to alter here. It was everything a poem ought to be!!

I may have put in more alliteration, especially towards the end, just because it tout's Dean Kuch's poems heavy on that feature of the poetic line. Looking for words that
alliterate with during his youth, or parental rules, I found only prissy with parental and maybe darned or damned or durned ( adj) for youth.i really like this one and really don't know about any changes.

Thank you for reading and reviewing this little ditty. It was really fun to write and Dean didn't mind the dedication.

Very cute.
The title is a nice hook, and the famiarity of the story allows for succinct imagery.
Perhaps a reference to childhood lumps would add to the conclusion.
Thanks for the smile.

It's very nice. A coupla spaces unnecessary. Easily fixed. You have rhymed it unintentionally.
I love the theme. I love the story and put my poem in a book about it. Good fun.

Hello,
A story in a poetic form, very nice! Now I am educated in knowing why the Mad Hatter is mad! He needs that hammer on his head.
Best wishes in the contest,
Sylvia

This is funny but could be a valid reasoning to why The Mad Hatter does wild things. He got to do what ever he wanted to do without discipline so he is just doing that now. It is sad that you blame the parents when it could just be mental illness. But then if the parents didn't see that and medicate it then it is their fault.

A very well-written twist on the story of Alice in wonderland. The mad hatter is quite a character to reckon with. No one knows what plans he will pull out of his hat.

I think you are spot on with today's societal problem. You expressed a truthful and delicate issue, which some will debate, through the best caricature story that anyone can use without altering the characters.

The humorous story, Why the Mad Hatter is Mad, reminds me not to assume that people will not be too literal. I like that you dedicated your work to Dean, who is a funny fellow.
