You have taken an interesting approach to this Thank you contest. It is a very smart idea to thank you thumb. You included in this brief poem the many reason why we should be grateful that we have thumbs. In your case, you were thanking the one more than the other. I really liked this creative and thoughtful idea because it made me think about this subject. Most Poets would possibly think think thank some person or company but you have thought to thank something that, to me, is so necessary. This is a great entry for this contest. I hope you do well, my friend.

Yes, I thanked the right thumb, because he's much more dependable than the other one, who, bless him, does try his best. Most folks take their thumbs for granted, so I decided to recognize mine publicly. (Or at least with FanStorians.)

You are not off base. Thumb, it is, and your first line is all we need consider. You read the piece just as I hoped the reader would, trying to make sense of it for a couple of stanzas, until running into the satori in the third.
