Thank you Dr. Dip. I love my family and am truly blessed. I have the most wonderful husband and have been married for 49 blessed years. I am glad that you could relate to this having children yourself. God is good!

Hi Brigitte, this is lovely - a repetition poem that is also biographical. It reads well with unusual rhyme, subtle. It tells a lovely story about the four loves of your life and you tell it beautifully. I like your choice of repetition 'The ecstasy of our love

I have read many poems on this site that deal with the ecstasy of physical love between a man and a woman. I have also read many poems here that deal with the love parents have for their children. I am almost certain though that this is the first poem I have read here that actually links the two acts. So unusual is it that I almost found myself saying really? Is that so? Are you sure?
Perhaps if more was written about the consequences of our actions the world might be a happier place. Full marks for originality.
