Truly enjoyed this read Dawn, you are a great writer. I can certainly relate that advertising is very expensive so I don't do it. The good part for me is that I don't really need the money, now I said didn't need it, but would be nice to have it. I started writing because I enjoy reading my own books when most other people don't give a hoot about my writing. I wanted to leave something a little more than just memories for my wife and kids after I am gone. I thought what a good way to remember dad so I made myself the main character in a three book western series I wrote. Anyway I am not a good writer or at least not good with many things a good writer has, but it's fun and my wife and kids can look back and remember maybe just a little bit more. The reviews on your book are great, I hope you make many dollars from it. I wish you good health, and happiness as you continue to write.

I know what you mean, some people have asked me if I have produced a book of my poems, and I have to say...no! I wrote and produced two music albums, and my seemingly natural laziness, combined with fear of failure, self doubt, and procrastination, have served to stop me. (Some might call it...a lack of intestinal fortitude!) But I get a buzz from seeing new creations come into being, and I'll settle for that, writing for friends and family deeply affect my performance, and they at least appreciate it. Even relatives of dead friends! But I'll try to help you at least Dawn, well done. Blessings, Roy

I enjoyed reading your contest entry and I'm glad to see you're posting. I have one book published and ready to publish another. I understand the editing issues. It's taken me a few years to get this one ready to publish, but editors later, not counting myself. I am ready. I wish you the best of luck with the contest.

I so agree with your analogy. I love writing feel like I have to that it's a basic nesessity like eating, breathing but editing is a slow very painful process. Just when you think it's perfect a review comes along and finds things you missed.
