Very good. I can feel the poppies in the field swaying. I've only seen you write haiku. Do you ever write anything else? You know poppies are where opium comes from. It's interesting that you can buy poppy plants online, but it's illegal to plant them???

I used to write all kinds of poems and stories but I prefer haiku. Thank you for the excellent review and five stars.

Thank you, Roy. The haiku came to me before I found the picture.

I thought it might, I write first, then find artwork...unless it is an ekphrastic challenge. Well done.

Hi, Gypsy;
Thank you for sharing another lovely haiku with us. Poppies are so pretty and the artwork you chose to compliment your artwork was stunning.
A nit: 'radient(radiant) red sea'

I would love to see a poppy field someday. Most seem to associate it with blood. I am glad you didn't but instead Radiant (you misspelled radiant) red sea.
Great alliteration and imagery.

You can almost feel the breeze. I like the imagery (as an aside, the first two words, "ruby" and "poppies" both make me think of "The Wizard of Oz"). Poppies evoke so much ("In Flanders Fields", opium, "The Wizard of Oz" - a very versatile image. Here, they look pretty and make me feel calm.
I'm not sure if the word "radiant" has an alternate spelling, but you might want to check to make sure you don't have a typo there.
Loved it.

Thank you, Mark, I did make a mistake but I corrected it. Thank you for the awesome review and five stars. I was thinking of the wizard of oz but also of Spain, where I grew up.
