I resent you calling my friend Gretchen's work sappy. I will not stand for you insulting her that way. Take it back at once!
Myself, I found this piece genuine, tender, honest, real and just right in every way. It left me with no doubt whatsoever that your children DO know what a good life they were given early on. Anyone with a brain knows it has absolutely positively NOTHING to do with material possessions. Beautiful piece of work.

I love this little bit of sap. Life is what you make it, and if it's full of love, nothing else matters. Great job!
Have a great day, and God bless.

Hi, Gretchen
= Such a lovely tribute to your family.
= I firmly believe the families who don't have everything they desire are happier by far.
= And those family who want for nothing, have no idea what working together and loving is all about.
= Good for you for having so much love.
Cheers (*<*)
Have a great day/evening!

It sounds like you had a wonderful time raising your family.
I was wondering how you youngest is doing with his eating disorder. My son has one too. He has diabetes and he craves sweets all the time. He scares me with his eating habits. Great post Gretchen. Hugs. Nancy

I enjoyed meeting your kids through this story post :) It's marvelous when they are all so different. I have three kids and four grandkids. They are all very different too. They have blessed my life same as yours. Their teenage years were a challenge, but we got through it. Once the girls gave me grandkids, all the teenage stuff was forgiven lol! I must google Hirschsprung's disease. Never heard of it.

Hirschsprung's is a very rare disease and not much info out there on it. Thank you for your wonderful review. Gretchen

This is a very well written post about your family growing up. You used very good descriptive wording and very good imagery with your words. I enjoyed reading all about each child. This made me think of when I was growing up and how we didn't have a lot of material things but we sure had the love of God and family. I enjoyed reading this very much! Blessings, Teri

I grew up comfortable but certainly didn't get everything I wanted. Lol. But I had what I needed. Thank you so much for your wonderful review. Gretchen

You might call it sappy for wearing your heart of your sleeves when writing about your children, but I don't. I'm not sure I hear this manner of reflection from the mothers in my experience. I surmise that they look for financial or other tangible rewards from their children when they become old enough to make a dollar. You did a good job and I think your children will realize it if they don't already.

Hi there;
Thank you for sharing a glimpse into your family life - past and present. It is always a bittersweet feeling when the children leave for their own lives. I've been an empty nester for the past twelve years, and I miss being a full-time Mom.
Good job,
~patty~
