I'm not a fan so maybe some of this is lost on me. It's a workable acrostic, the "a" line feels a bit wonky to me. What starts as an ode to the game changes to something that's even more important. A good ending to a good poem.

Pretty good job on the Acrostic poem! Loved the story it told about your love of football, peace with all distractions gone, but still, in the end, silently revealing that you've missed the sounds of your wife and girls! Your poem flowed pretty well and had good rhyming scheme. Very much enjoyed!

Dear Anonymous Poet;
Thank you for sharing your acrostic about Football. You've done a good job with spelling out your chosen word, and all of your lines relate back to your joy to be able to watch the season without interruption, and then there's your sadness about missing your family.
Good luck in the contest,
~patty~
