I appreciate this piece because teachers worldwide sadly are under appreciated as well as other demanding jobs, it's good to see that respect is given where it's deserved.

A delightful, meaningful and important message.. Somehow teachers today have been pushed to their limits - (i.e., often having to buy and supply students with materials they need in schools, and most recently, having a President who feels they should learn how to use a gun and be a guard and possible killer while trying to educate our kids).. The form of the form is great -- very clever and unique.. allot of individuality comes through.. and of course, the message, is powerful and so true.. thanks for sharing this little gem..

Yes, your poem is a "witty conception." Congratulations on your well-deserved win. I enjoyed your tribute and so would any teacher. You used humor and included a reference to a classic lie in your wonderful teacher acrostic:

H is for HOMEWORK that our dogs never eat.

You end your poem with this moral:

"There's no exception to the rule.
Witty conception school is cool."

Indeed. Thank you for sharing and congratulations.

Hello!
Having recently retired from 38+ years of teaching, it is refreshing to read an acrostic poem that champions the good of teachers. Not always the case, as you well know. I am not very adept at acrostic poetry, but yours is flawless and enjoyable to read. Congratulations and thank you for sharing.

This is a beautiful Acrostic poem giving tribute to the teachers. I am a teacher too, and poem like this, confirms that we teachers have not failed in our mission. We are like soldiers too, we save our nation by building and developing the people . Thanks for this excellent write.

Well done! I have been in education for 23 years and two of my daughters are teachers. I know just what dedication it takes to be a good teacher. Your acrostic is a good one about teachers and their classrooms. Good luck in the competition!

Good job with this acrostic poem. I do appreciate right answers versus left. ;) Bit of a stretch there, but still works well. I have to say that I almost enjoyed your author's note as much as the poem itself.

This work has reached the exceptional level

Your acrostic poem about teachers is nice and the expectations they have for their students. "Good better best, never let it rest, until your good is better, and your better is best."
Congratulations on your wins.

Great poem. Each letter is used appropriately.

E is for EDUCATION with the kids come first approach (I remember this in college).
H is for HOMEWORK that our dogs never eat (hehe).
E is for EACH STUDENT studying quietly in each seat (as a former sub I like this one!).
