Amad, I am going to have to fan you!! You are a fantastic writer, not just a garden artist and a nature inspector. I adore your take on the paradigm shifts in our lives and how we discover other true passions which lend to the fascination in our lives... well done...

Thank you for reading my work with so much kindness. Someone reading what I write is a honor for me. Yes, I like to dwell in the paradigm of life, as you express it so well. More is coming!

There is nothing like the feeling of satisfaction that comes from a job well done. This is very well-told with a touch of sarcasm. Good luck in the contest.

Enjoyed your story of doing yard work and gardening. You make it sound very real and sort of laid back. I love to do the tings you have mentioned in this story. Many times we can do more than we think we can, and as we work with the earth we see the real beauty of it.

Thank you for reading my work. I like your comments, especially this line "many times we can do more than we think we can..." I need to remember this. I need to remember this.

Thanks my friend, I have had bone cancer for over a year. When first told, my wife and I were in complete shock. We became Christians in 1970 and have went to the same church for 44 years. We have prayed and our brothers and sisters in Christ have prayed along with us. I am doing good and people who do not know I have cancer say they would never know. I had a tumor inside my skull also and the chemo made it go away but left quite a sunken spot in my skull. With healing from God through good doctors and good medicine I am doing real good. They told me I could live anywhere from two years to twenty five, and I promised god if he would give me time on this earth that I would never be ashamed to speak out for him. I don't judge others, that is the job of Christ, his word tells me to love people and tell them about him. Sorry this was so long but just felt I needed to say it. god bless always.

Thanks my friend, I believe God looks down and smiles when we show love for his creation, and mankind is part of that creation. God bless always.

Why would I ever want to enter this contest with this
piece also entered? No way! Every action and noun has such
a beautiful adjective. The metaphors abound in this piece.
I keep reading as if this is poetry but there's no structure. Or
is it? Is this an amada poem?
Amada, thank you for letting me read this incredible piece. All
the best in the contest? Do we get to vote? -Bill

What an uplifting and heartwarming read - the sheer joy of engaging with Mother Nature and her warm and healing ways -'I lie in the lazy grass as the sun sweeps low'.

Brilliant. Love this. It reminds of one of Shakespeare's tragedies. A kind of serious humor. A satire where fun is made, yet some technical qualities learned for the tasks that almost seem menial.

Beautiful.
Wishing you well with this, Amanda.
Best wishes.

I love the 'word collector' I too love the roll of words. As a smart-mouth child, I spouted words like beads on a string, to impress the teacher and I got asked had I swallowed a dictionary. Now I wish I had! Sincerely Anne

I enjoyed reading your non-fiction about working in the garden. I followed you all the way, being a gardener myself. There's nothing like the tiredness of well spent hours in the garden. Well described. Marilyn

Hello amada
Your non fiction story was very pleasant to read how much you like to work in your garden, pulling weeds and ---
you observing two yellow garden snakes twirling in the sun, then I turn over an old cracked pot just sitting by and you see three still sweet snails just sitting there, and how you felt like an intruder!
Very good
Smiles

Gert
