Thank you so much for the hugs. I'm doing much better now than I was about three weeks ago. Writing the story over these past few months allowed me to put the 'story' into some perspective, but I still allowed myself to have hopes for a different ending. I wouldn't even attempt to write the ending because on some level, I was hoping for a miracle.

'Ron' and 'Joey' are very happy with the story, and they are going to visit with me on my birthday at the end of the month. (The tradition was to spend the birthday weekend in Bremerton...)

Oh My Sweet Friend. How terribly brutal on you to have to write the story. I can imagine how bad this made you feel however, there is honor and love to finish a promise that your friend knew you could do for her. It's a beautiful story and I know you must miss her. Oh, this was such a sad, touching story.
I was so pleased when they began dating and got back together but then she got cancer and died.
Urgh! Too sad.
Life can deal some hard blows.
At least they got some time together.

It was painful to finish, and when 'Ron' called to let me know I had done a great job, we both talked and cried on the phone for a bit.

I don't know what to say. I've enjoyed this. I looked forward to each new part. And as I read this I was happy for them getting married.
But then her death. I've never really met 'Jenny', but I felt as though I did in your book. This is so... devastating. My heart cries out for her. I didn't expect this as the end. Losing a friend is always so difficult. I admire that you wrote her story as she asked.

thank you so much for remaining faithful to this saga all the way through. It was so hard for me to put the last two chapters together. I was very tempted to put the whole thing away, but I needed to finish it for 'Ron' and 'Joey.' Once I got their seal of approval, I posted this last chapter.

Following the story, I never thought Jenny would die. I mean, anything else, but her death was not entertained. I could see you being imaginative with the story of Ron and Jenny, but her death was totally surprising and sad.

The part about the real 'Jenny's' death didn't come from my imagination. I attended my very best friend's funeral over Labor Day weekend last month. This is part of the reason why the end of the story took so long to write. I waited until the end; I think I was hoping for a miracle,

I loved the ending. Love on earth is but for a moment, but Heaven's love is eternal. I'm so glad they got back together again, a beautifully written bitter/sweet story, of love unrequited and then becoming forever love. Compassion and forgiveness are necessary for any love. This would make a wonderful movie, something like "Magnificent obsession" with Rock Hudson and Jane Wyman. Well done Patty. Good job, blessings, Roy

thank you so much, my friend, for remaining loyal to this saga. I knew I needed to get it done, but I just couldn't deal with it. This weekend, I finally grabbed a box of tissues and just wrote. I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and I would LOVE for it to be made into a movie.

Maybe I can ask 'Ron' to give me permission to submit it to a few places. Who knows?

You did a beautiful job on Jenny's story, Patty. What a very sad ending, and only a few weeks ago! I'm sure it cut you to pieces and I can understand how hard this was to write. But you did it, and now her children and grandchildren will be able to know the love story of their mum and dad. Not forgetting Austin. I missed the part before this one and went and caught up before reading the ending. I hope Ron and Joey and the two girls will stay together and can get some comfort from each other.
