Sweet and simple and sincere. Nice imagery and tone. Apt presentation for the metaphor of fire crackling (fire of love in the heart). Nice subtle pun on 'stories under a blanket'. Fine alliteration of W and F and consonance of C-K. Good flow. An excellent entry! Good luck.

Well done poet. In three little lines you have created a story of life. The brightness of your presentation gives credence to the poem. Forty winters is a long time. I liked your Katauta entry and wish you well in the contest. XXK.

Dear Sanku... I have never written a Katauta poem but this has prompted me to do so. Your beautiful poem does seem to fit the requirements for this contest. It is easy to feel the love that was shared between the two lovers for forty years. Great job and good luck in the contest. Gramalot 8

Excellent use of the katauta. The last line is perfect. It's difficult to set a scene, introduce characters and make them relateable in the course of three short lines, but you've done it wonderfully.

Great little poem for the contest. I really like the simplicity and the mood this poem creates. The simple pleasures of enjoying the company of a loved one. I like the last line..."Fourty winters warmed our hearts"
No doubt this expresses a long marriage or relationship with the same person. Lovely poem.

A nice little Katauta. Gentle love is celebrated here. Mature love. Seasoned love. :Love that has stood the test of time. Rhymes are necessary and would actually take away from this. Good job.

Not too sure about the first line on reading yet after a few times reading saw the connection, but nicely done with the image and imagery projected.
Good luck with this.
My best wishes, Sanku.
Have a great evening.

I would consider forty years to be a long time for a marriage. Not many today can make it that far. Good luck in the contest.
