Smiling people made me happy.
(this makes me happy also)
This was very funny. It kept me waiting to hear why people were laughing, of course I thought it was non fiction
hugs Heidi

Hi, Heidi;
can you imagine IF it were non-fiction? I think I would have been too ashamed to write about it!
Thank you for reading,

Pants are needed he he to go shopping or just plain ole clothes that cover the Netherlands below the waist. Hehe
Comment from Natali Holden
You got me wondering, why is everyone staring? After I read this, "As the lady closest to me pointed with a snicker, I looked down. I wasn't wearing any pants." I assumed it was a dream. If it wasn't, poor you. That would've been embarrassing. Enjoyed!

I've actually had similar dreams. I find myself somewhere in public either stark naked or in a nightie. It's a relief to wake up. Good luck in the contest.

Hi, Cindy;
thank you so much for reading and reviewing. I used to hate it when I dreamt like this in high school. Now, it's just too funny.

Good morning, Patty
Good flow and pace. So now I know what you were getting those looks. I've had many a dream but nothing quite you had. Had I they would have run away screaming.
Take care and stay safe,
Ray

Hi, Ray;
Pretty sure this dream was a 'nightmare,' but I thought its retelling would make for a great story. Thank you for reading and reviewing,

Comment from Karen Payne
OMG. My worst nightmare! You are very clever. The story was so matter-of-fact and chatty that when I reached the end I actually did laugh out loud. Clever to drop the radio conversation in there and mention Donald Trump. It set me on a completely different tangent, so that the last line was really unexpected and just a treat to read. Loved it.

I have had dreams like this.Your story does what all good writing should do and that ignites the imagination of the reader. Well done and the Image complements your work. A joy to read and contemplate. Well done Don and Vicki.

Hi, Barbara;
Sometimes those dreams can be so much fun, right? I know when I was in high school, I was so paranoid about life in general, I had this dream about once a week. As an adult, it became high-stress situations, like work, church, and the grocery store. I just had to write about it,

I hate it when that happens! I love this well written little dream or was it really a dream? My luck I'd wake up at Wal-Mart in my tighies-whities. That would cause a scene.
Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day and God bless.

I can only imagine what would happen to you, or anyone, who really did this. Thank you for reading and reviewing,

Very nice story. I was wondering why everybody kept on smiling at her. Maybe it would have been even better if it hadn't been a dream.
Superbly written as usual.
Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.

Hi Gypsy;
thank you for reading and reviewing 'My New Clothes.' I had so much fun writing this story. I know it's a twist on an old story, but I loved the surprise.

Hi Patty,
I'm not Gypsy. I'm Maria. Same country of origin... ;)

Hi Maria;
sorry about that, I had just replied to Gypsy before you - and got on a roll. LOL
