I guess that not all caterpillars turn into butterflies. Some have the capacity to turn neighborhoods topsy turvy. Some have the ability to upend, destroy and reconfigure structures and lives, especially if they are out of control.

haha the very hungry caterpillar ate it. The picture is perfect book 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'? I like the 'n' alliteration. [Do you know the book?]

Thanks for sharing. Jan

Thanks, Jan. I watched the video, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, based on Eric Carle's book, just now. I see the correlation. Thanks.

And a very large "caterpillar" it was! Through such a brevity of words, there is a great building of sad and nostalgic mood here by pointing to where the house "once stood" and that the attic is below ground level and the alliterative "nowhere neighborhood."

Oh, THAT caterpillar. Very imaginative.

I'm afraid we see too many of that kind these days. So sad that critters homes are being destroyed.

They say you just can't stop progress Bill I see knock downs and developments on gracious old homes with great memories everyday but sadly the lure of the developers dollar entices many. Thanks for sharing

Haha well done Bill!
Excellent dual operation of the Caterpillar here and a delightful little rhyme proving that they can move earth of epic proportions when armed and legged with hydrolics.

I think you better cancel your Neighborhood Watch membership. Not sure you'll be needing it now you are living in your car haha

A fun write!
Cheers P
