I learn so much from reading others haikus, yours is no exception. I find this to be quite beautiful, and I love the simplicity. Blessings...

A very well-written haiku. The last pears of the season are processed for drying and canned fruit every year. A time of hard work but will be satisfying when we see the finished products to enjoy.

Good work. Fine imagery, tone and style. Superb word economy. excellent kigo and mood. Excellent satori line. Excellent alliteration of P, assonance of I and consonance of L and S. Fine presentation too.
Nears a six, but I have none left, alas.
Good luck!
Warmly, rd

good. words used sparingly, but full meaning there. good haiku.
The pears in the picture, look so good I'd like to pick one right out of the bowl. very nice.

This is a very nice haiku you have penned for the contest. You used very good descriptive wording and the art work you chose went well with your words. Best wishes in the contest. Teri

With but twelve syllables you have taken us to that time of the year when pears are not eaten but rather put in cans for future use.
Well done, and good luck

I bet those pears will be delicious. There's nothing like home canning. It's so much better than the stuff you buy at the store. Good luck in the contest.
