What a terribly sad story. You've made a haunting song that serves to honor, not exploit, this poor family. There are no answers good enough for what happened, but you have created a voice for each person involved. Well done.

Yes, Roseanne, I don't care what answers Kevin wrote in his suicide note. What he did was inexcusable.

Thank you for your heartfelt review which honors this family.

Thank you for your condolences. Ten years ago I quit my therapist who wanted me to talk about it, but I was not prepared to. Now I am writing. Thanks.

Your authors notes are chilling. I had to go back and reread the poem after I read your notes. A very macabre poem that takes the breath away. Nicly composed and dark.

Thank you, DonandVicki, for your review. Ten years ago I quit my therapist because he wanted me to talk about it but I was not prepared to. I am glad I am talking about it now. I find the process cathartic because I focus my grief through creativity.

You have given an amazing tribute to this beautiful family
tragedy strikes without warning and without logic or explanation
your song is so very gentle and filled with lovingkindness
even 10 years is not enough to dull shock and pain
no one will ever find out the reality of the nightmare as it went to other side with him
your poem stands not in judgement but in empathy
your poem does not relate facts but spills feelings from heart
I send blessings to you and all who are left behing to suffer a lifetime of grief for this family
a wonderfully song fill with grace
have a smiley day dear FS friend

Hello Mystery Author. Well you definitely have given this family's tragedy a chilling story line. I can hear it to the music you've chosen and it makes me sad indeed that so much violence was because of "financial difficulty". So sad! Good luck. xoxo Kiwi

So many people use the Beatles for healing and inspiration. I dread to think what
may happen on the day Paul departs the earth. This is a difficult confession of an observer. You have done a fine job of a theraputic stand.

Yes, frierajac, ten years ago after the murders I quit my therapist when he wanted me to talk about the murders but I was not prepared to. I am now and am finding the process of writing this song therapeutic. Thank you for your review.

This was so tragic, mystery author. Yes, this would be a family's worse nightmare. You expressed the tragedy and confusion beautifully. I'm sure the town will never be the same.
Good luck in the contest.
This is a strong contender.

Yes, Octavia, this was a horrible, horrible family's worst nightmare. I knew them all and had no inkling that Kevin was planning this. Thank you for your heartfelt review and for wishing me luck in the contest.

A very tragic story and a worst nightmare to be sure. To know a family caught up in a triple murder suicide is as bad as it gets.
A nice twist on a poetic look. The question mark on the faces if those who witnessed this tragedy fits nicely between the lines.
Good luck in the contest

Thank you, Daniel, for your heartfelt review and for wishing me good luck in the contest. No one--not friends, family, neighbors, or patients of Dr Kawai--saw this coming. This tragedy left question marks on all of our faces and us wondering if we had missed signs or could have done something to have prevented this triple murder suicide.

This is excellent. I didn't understand it and was going to skip reviewing it until I read your author noes. Then it made sense. What a tragedy. It would haunt me to want to know why?

Yes, Thomas, I am still haunted by this ten years later. I have no answers. The best I can do is to remember the family as it was.

Thank you for your heartfelt, six star review. I am glad my notes encouraged you to read my song.

I heard distant laughter.
Girls' giggles pierced the dark.
Is this the hereafter?
My face a question mark.
My face a question mark.' Oh my good god. No, this story is so heartbreaking it is almost too much to bear. How a seemingly normal person can snap and commit such atrocities. Your poem was perfect but utterly chilling especially in the second read knowing it was real. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Well done on this sensitively handled piece. kind regards Meia xx

Thank you, Meia, for your heartfelt, six star review. Your poems about atrocities inspired me to write mine. Many reviewers have reread my song a second time when they discovered in the notes that it was real. Thank you also for your prayers to the family.
