Hi, Patty
This can be a difficult form and end up being pretty disjointed. But you've managed a very cohesive and smooth flowing piece here. Great imagery and a warm sense of the season. Your form is nice too, the triangle shape adds to these I think. LOVE the last three lines and the word choices. "Wooly" is perfect! It sounds like something a little silly shared by a couple somehow. Yes, leading to cuddles and love. I liked this a lot and it should do well. mike :))

Hi Michael;
thank you so much for the lovely review and highly coveted shining, sixth star.
I enjoy this poetic form; it is like a puzzle to construct the words in a cohesive manner, and it takes a bit of massaging to make the triangle shape.
I appreciate your thoughtful and concise review,
~patty~

This is the time of the year when the Autumn/fall poems start to come, and this is a fine Nonet work that steams up the poetic window with its gracious style and great language, well done, Patty, good job, good luck, blessings, Roy

well, Miss Patty, you can certainly tell you don't live in Texas!
We can only pant and dream. But I'm with you - when it comes, I love it. We kind of have to make our colors as not many trees have leaves that change. we have dying grass, if that counts. ha!
Your poem is tempting, tasty and totally tantalizing!
Happy Birthday a little early. (Mine's in November - maybe it'll be cool by then.)
anyway, thanks for a delightful poem and a scenario to look forward to!

Hi there; I left Oregon for a few years, and I lived in southwest New Mexico. There really wasn't a fall - it just went from HOT to mild.
Thank you for reading. I'm glad it gave you something to aspire to,

Nice fall accenting colors for this nonet that highlights the best of the colder fall and winter. I like the use of vivid colors for description.
Good luck and keep writing

you and I love the autumnal days ahead. Any poem or thought of autumn touches my soul. Pieces of autumn paint rainbow leaves on slender trees.

Fall is the buffer between Summer and Winter
It is the time of Harvest
A time of Witches and Goblins
Most of all, it is a time of color

Oh yes! I'm ready for fall, too. Your poem captures so well all those wonderful things we enjoy about autumn ~ the changing leaves, hot cocoa, crackling fires. I especially love the line about wooly socks! So cute! Your syllable count is perfect all the way through and I love the picture you've chosen to accompany your words. This is a lovely piece! Best of luck to you in the contest! :)
