Love autumn too! The colours, fragrances, and a few bears in the area filling their tummies before the long winter nap. You got it, girl! Lovely autumn images!

Beautiful poem Patty. You described the fall perfectly in such a few lines! The poetry style is very unique too, I might have to try it someday! How do you come across these types?

    I am doing a little better this afternoon. My air had gone on the fritz, and one of the men from my church came out and repaired it for me. Patricia

My favourite time of year by a mile.
Thought it was a great piece of creative writing, and really conveyed what I think is the magic of this time of year.
Well done.

A very well-written Nonet poem describing the transition of the seasons.from summer to Autumn. A relieve from the heat with cool breezes and to cuddle up with warm clothing and hot chocolate.

Hi, Patty.
You've created a lovely poem with this gorgeous image and a clever arrangement of cosy warmth in your words. Fires, autumn colours and burning passions. Time to fall in love--great title!

Sounds like fun. We don't have fall in Florida. The change is subtle. The temperature drops to the high eighties. We only have to mow the yard every other week. Other than that it's the same.

    Hi Thomas;

    That doesn't sound like fun at all. I've never lived in FL - visited a few times, and I'll be in Ft. Lauderdale/Miami to catch a cruise in April of next year. It's way too humid for me!

    Thanks for reading,

I found this to be a beautifully presented work of lovely fall season colors. The writing is clean, clear, full of joyful delight, and everything about this work is certainly a six star delivery. My sincere apologies for not having all of them but my thanks for a great read overall. HIS GRAYNESS; Vance

Patty,
This is a great poem & contest entry. Good job on the syllable counts per line. The picture is awesome.

I love Fall, too. We will have warm to hot temps in the afternoon through mid October with some cooling at night/early morning. Right now it is 85^ with more coming--99* Wed. I love the colors of leaves on the few trees we have. Your words create great imagery. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes in the contest. Jan

    Hi Jan;
    thank you so much for the lovely review. This poem came to me as the cool breeze blew through my house this morning. (I opened this windows when it got stuff yesterday afternoon, and it was actually a tiny bit chilly!)

    Oh, yay.

    I know how hot it is where you are - up until last September, I was living in southwestern New Mexico.
