I suppose this is how a young lad would bide his time, waiting for his dad to go to sleep. Young children have vivid imaginations and can pass the time quickly. This was well done. Nancy

It may be an idea to look at your structuring here a little and maybe separate this out into a couple of paragraphs. It's quite difficult to read like this.
Oh, what's that, oh it's just Rover sniffing under the door again. - there should probably be a question mark in here as a question is raised.
I think the random, stream of consciousness flow of it all. nice

I love your story. I relate to the stars on the ceiling as I once gave one star map for a ceiling to a 7 yr old boy of a friend. They did shine and it was the real star map. So, I relate. The way in which you describe the fight with the monster that's connected with the uniform is brilliant and the way the sound of the rocket ship buzzes off into
