I think you have chosen the best way to leave your wisdom for those young people - the written words. Much as they like their electronic gadgets, the young will surely still consider a story on a reading device instead of strolling to the bookshop/bookstore.
Paperback writers might lose but hopefully not the young, and definitely not the device providers.
