Thanks you for the lovely review, Deborah. I don't know how many more years I have, but as God gives me truths to write about I will write.

A lovely photo of your grandparents on their wedding day. I have many old photos of relatives. I think most of us oldies have listened to older people and learned from them.

This is a very good commentary you have penned with some very good sound advice. You used very good descriptive words and a very nice picture of family members.

Great job my friend! Blessings, teri

Well said, Patricia. Thank you for pointing that out. We are all prone to using our electronic devices instead of interacting personally with one another. There is such a short window of opportunity to share with a young one, when they want attention from us. I hope we all be ready to give that nugget of wisdome when God gives us the opportunity.

Elders are still revered in some other cultures, and we should take a lesson from them and learn from their life experiences. I am certain your children and grandchildren have benefited from your teachings. Smiles- Joan

Joan. I know the Spanish and the Greeks are very respectful of the elders.

I think the Japanese and Chinese also greatly respect their elders too. Sweet dreams- Joan

I have always loved spending time with older people rather than people my own age, I always used to visit the old ladies in my street and stay for hours listening to their stories and performing small errands for them. It was no chore but fascinating! I much preferred their wisdom to those my own age with their childish views on the world and lack of experience. I still feel the same today at 38 one of my best friends is 70, and I am very close to other older people I just find I get on well with them and love their wisdom. This was a wonderful piece as always and I really enjoyed reading it and seeing your lovely picture. Kind regards Meia xx

Patricia,
This is a great presentation. I love the picture. Your advice is sound. Unfortunately, you have it right that most will not learn/listen until they are way older.

The last sentence seems to be missing a verb. Maybe you could say The help will guide them . . . .

Thanks for sharing. Jan

Absolutely true! Your write up carries a strong message and words of wisdom. However, most of us realize it too late in life... also its not very easy to convince all young minds to pay attention and learn for good from the elderly. Best wishes.
