Not necessarily most of the time, but sometimes others hold strings on us and don't even realize it. We want them to like us and give it to them without them even knowing. Other times they force us to do their will. I enjoyed the poem. The picture is awesome as well. Wonderful job!

Hello, my friend,
A very interesting rondelet poem about control. I know people like that and I try to avoid them like the plague. You did a great job with the Picture This prompt.

Hi Gypsy;
this 'Picture This' prompt brought out a great deal of fear for me - I have watched too many people living at the end of other people's strings,

A good interpretation of this picture this prompt Patty. Yes indeed, there can be some people who strive to control one's existence. They can be charming, or condemnatory, continually putting one on the back foot, I can't be anymore, even when someone says, you're a Christian you must! Heh heh, well done, Patty, excellent post. Blessings, Roy

A cleverly thoughtout little poem presented
as a rondelet, the words flowing well.... and
such an appropriate picture.

Good morning Patty:
A rondelet poem - this is a nice lesson and I enjoyed your poem which is specifically, to me, about the person being controlled by someone else who even creates a fear in the other. This picture this photo has the same thought to most of us who view it. It is easily compared to the controlling person or controller who is in charge or takes charge of someone or somethings every move. I reveals that this is a reality that some live on a day to day.
Your poem is beautifully stated and written.

I read this to be about a person in an abusive relationship. As simply as it is written, it carries a heavy weight.
The picture you posted with this is perfect.

Good morning, Patty
Excellent telling of how one individual controls every aspect of another's life, presumably in a marriage or a relationship. What is the definition for hep? Enjoyed.
Take care and stay safe,
