What a great place to be able to play as a child. I too had a beach for a playground, they are some of my favorite memories.
The dolphins is a sight I have always wanted to see but the beaches around here do not have them. You described the beach beautifully, it sounds relaxing and peaceful.

The photo I was looking for is taken from the
Same vantage spot but shows the lawned areas and playground. There was a zoo there when I was growing up and the steel works put on picnics for the children 3-4 times a years. It was an amazing place to grow up. Very hot 48C in summer. Air conditioning? What's that? Lol
