Well Brett, I'm not one to appreciate any child learning how to shoot a gun but I guess I do realize the necessity of Cody learning how to protect himself from his abuser. After all his father may very well want to torture him and end his life. I know that most cases men like Earl will just keep coming until they cannot come anymore.

Okay I will be looking to see what happens next.

Glad you enjoyed this portion of Cody's story.

Appreciate you taking the time to read it and to write a review.

Would really like to make a book out of his story, perhaps even find a publisher for it. That would be so good!

Brett,
Good writing. I like this chapter. If children knew about guns and respected them -- I think that is important.

You have a great weekend.

Cody did not say a word. Like a sponge, he soaked up every word his Dad reiterated.---He didn't "reiterate" it, he "iterated." Reiterated means he said it twice.

Crap. I hate the idea of Cody killing his biological father. That traumatizes any kid. I've seen in, in cases of accidents with high school kids, in a case where a boy shot his little sister. Even doing it as "an expert," which takes more than all day and all night, killing someone is traumatic. Not just for kids, either.

Don't jump the gun with my writing. You never know what the end result will be.

Perhaps Cody will get killed attempting to end his nightmare? (Then, many FanStorians would lynch me! So, perhaps I should not go there either? Hummm! Who knows?)

Well done. I think the only gun I ever fired might have been an air gun or pee shooter hehe. BB gun maybe. This was a great chapter. Have a look at the saga of four chapters on Louise's adventure in Hospital.

After Cody's unfortunate incident with a supposed encounter with a missed rock, and the hurler perhaps being Earl Anthony Schroder. Cody receives a lesson in handling and shooting a pistol in the firing range. Cody is very pleased with himself, and pleased he has a dad who cares! Well done, no nits, and good scribing. Brett, well done, blessings, Roy

Awesome.

"First, and foremost, Little Man," the Sheriff began, ( call my little dogs little man a lot of the time.)

"Relax your hand, son. Don't be afraid of it," he said, "always hold a gun like you would fine china."
(Isn't this two sentences so it would end with a period after "said, and Start with a capital at Always.)

hugs Heidi

Hi Brett,

Again you've written another part of your book which is always nice to read. It's
also fun to find out that Cody is learning a lot from his dad. He keeps teaching the things he wants Cody to learn. I'll be looking forward to what you'll write
next.

Kat

I'm leasrning how to handle a gun here right alongside Cody.
Of course I have my own personal reservations about teaching
children this sort of "craftsmanship" but then as they say:
When in Rome, do as the Romans."
The writing was excellent and the story still enjoyable.
