Cheers Gypsy;
-how this haiku lulled me into a sense of innocent pleasantness and peacefulness.
-You cleverly are using, I believe, the satori is your first line of your haiku which cultivates a meaningful aha moment and sets up the conceptual theme of your haiku right in the beginning. This sufficiently gives way for you to medically connected lines explaining and describing how being covered actually is.
-It was a tossup, to me anyway, is that the Kigo would either be, "early morning" or "crickets". So I decided has to be crickets because it refers to summer when crickets usually come out and late spring early summer. I even heard them in the fall on a late hot summers morning.
-The pictures obviously appropriate and supportive, as it shows a complete picture of a cricket that's on a blade of grass.
-Thanks for sharing and take care and I think this is a great addition for the booklet.

Hola Guapa, I love this wonderful poem. Right now when I'm reading your haiku I'm listening to the cicadas, which makes your haiku so appropriate with this balm summer night. Un abrazo de tu amiga Ulla:)))

Crickets, oh, how they can be so annoying to many, but their chirps are always beautiful to me. One as a very young boy, an old man who fished in the same pond as me, would always tell me why crickets chirped, bullfrogs croaked and screamed, and all the wonderful things of nature had their own purpose. Thanks for sharing another fine poem. :-)

I just beginning to appreciate the JSF poetry and the haiku form.
I enjoyed reading this one. I just starting writing and tanka. I am learning that it is quite an art.
well done.

Lady Blue,
Grasshopper here! Your photo is my cousin and he ain't no cricket! LOL. I like this because it requires connecting the dots to understand the satori. Many readers may not understand and that is a-okay.

The artwork is gorgeous and so adequately representative.
I love sunrises especially over the green carpet of a mountain covered in tropical forest. It's a magical moment to see the sun creep up from behind the mountain in the horizon, bathing the sky and the greens with gold and russet.

this is a nice natural moment, captured with this image of the veil of morning. very sublime, protected, almost charmed. Nice echoing 'o' sounds in line one and two. It's kind of surreal almost, very dreamlike and impressionistic, yet disconnected from reality. Its like an oasis moment in the craziness of life estory

My favorite time of day is right before the sun rises and the crickets and grasshoppers are getting their last chirps for the night. It's so peaceful with a backdrop of a tree frog still hoping for an answer. I love the book you've put together. I've always said the poets on this site are doing amazing things that needs more recognition. But how?!

Best of luck on the next project!
Have a great day and God bless.

A very well-written haiku. Crickets are the most annoying insects of all we can never pinpoint the exact place where they are playing their orchestra at night.
