Very nicely constructed and rhymed. When the time is right, we meet that special person and it can't be rushed. Somehow love is on a timeline. Last stanza is especially nice. Marilyn

What a beautiful romantic love poem. Makes you want to fall in love yourself again.
And you also chose a beautiful artwork which complements the words.
The poem is well-penned and I thank you for sharing it with us.
Blessings.

This was a deceptively simple poem. Very light to the ears but in it a real message is learned. The unity of two hearts creates something beautiful. Love the imagery of the night. Great job. Well written and good strong rhythm. Gretchen

Hi fastdigits, a short but very romantic poem expressing love newly found. Free verse in stanza one then aabb rhyme form in stanza two and three. The content is lovely and I particularly like your last stanza -
A new world had just begun
Two hearts now beat as one
All of our love to unfold
With tales yet to be told ....lovely!
Warm regards Dorothy

We were strangers who met
in a moment destiny had set
The silent words we spoke
And suddenly our hearts awoke
A new world had just begun
Two hearts now beat as one
All of our love to unfold
With tales yet to be told ; Such a beautiful love poem, so intensely romantic, I love it, well done kindest regards Meia x

I love this poem. In a few words, beautifully strung together, I was taken on a journey from loneliness and longing to the joy of two people willing to be together into the future. Absolutely lovely. Thank you!

When love arrives, it comes unbidden, uninvited and often unexpected. It hits one over the head in a non lethal way, but it manages to do its damage. No one is ever the same after falling in love, whether it lasts or it does not. Your life is forever changed, for once you have truly loved, you will never forget it.

I gave this poem four stars for inconsistency in the rhyme scheme. Free verse poems carry a unique atmosphere in that you dont expect it to rhyme. In this poem, you started with a free verse style poem then switched in the 2nd and 3rd to aabb rhyme scheme. I felt this took away from the flow of the poem and distracted from the words. It's difficult to continue to put into words a descriptive vision of meeting someone new. But I like the use of silken whispers. It shows s thickness to the whispers but with a gentle flow and caresses the ear.
Speaking silent words indicates a body language that only two people thoroughly attracted to can understand. With takes yet to be told expresses thoughts of history ready to be made with a long and exciting future planned.
It's a nice piece of work. Just the flow of the stanzas interrupted my thoughts

Your poem hints of longings which is followed by a spark, a flame, and finally hope for the future. I do wonder why your first and second lines end with a rhyme, with the exception of the first stanza. That impacted the flow a bit. Thanks for sharing your lovely poem.
