How clever! I really love the question posed to the grasshopper in this delightful 5-7-5 poem! "weedhopper" will stay with me a while (chuckle!)

Inspired! This is a very, very clever, outside the box "Write a poem concerning grass" contest entry. If there was no grass, the grasshopper would be a weedhopper. It's going to take one heck of a 5-7-5er to beat this one.

I really think this short poem would appeal to children because it makes them more aware of the insect AND how it got its name. A wonderful picture chosen to illustrate your message.

Cute and funny. I love the way it flows in so little of words. 'Weedhoppers' was a great addition to this 5-7-5 poem. Thank you for sharing and best wishes on the contest

I have to say that I really liked this piece. Its simplicity is remarkable and also its strength. A simple question but if pondered deeply, can have much greater significance.
