I think I am getting this one right for you. This picture helps me see what you are doing. I have never written any of this type before. So, it take me bit catch on to what you are trying to do I than have go back to my school books read what they tell me about the poems. My lack education some times gets everything messed up. This worth everyone of those stars. GB

Wow. So pleased you enjoyed this. This is another way to do a haiku, imprint the words over a picture or artwork. The two are supposed to compliment each other. You can do this in "Paint", the Windows program. It took me a while to figure it out, but I LOVE doing it. I didn't know ANYTHING when I arrived here. LOL I was a free verse poet and didn't know anything about that either. HA! But everyone here, mostly, is helpful and willing to teach. The Potlatch group in the Challenge Forum is another little group for fun that tries out new forms every week. Thanks a million. See, I don't write ALL crazy political stuff. :)) mike

I see that. I guess with what is happing in this country that I fought so hard for I have a little thin skin. LOL I am so glad you called me out on that made me go back and reread it for what it was. I am sorry. but I am glad to have you as a fan.

Mountain challenge. Nice picture. Almost like a signature of an oil painting. Last line staggered in right lower corner. You may came up with a new type of haiku here. Picture frame haiku? Example. elusive art is a nice touch too and does appear the mountains are hugging the sky. Dorothy chases rainbows. Good one Lion King. Good deeds come full moon circle. BOO-tastic!

Hello, Michael,

Thank you so much for adding to the Haiku Club Challenge your beautiful haiga. You are so good at it. Two grammatically interconnected lines followed by a great satori. Good job, honey.

I had to look up haiga - a new form to me. The original ekphrastic poetry! Your picture and haiku are well-matched and I like the way you have 'hidden' the elusive artist in the bottom corner of the page.

This is a great presentation Michael. Your syllables are correct with great imagery created. I like the way you have written inside the picture. I like how you personified the mountains, the sun, & the stream.

[there are so many rules with haiku. One I read was that it should not contain personification. But this is someone's opinion & mine is that your haiku meets the requirements.

Good job & thanks for sharing. Jan
