Superb meter and flow all throughout this lighthearted look at grief and mourning, Anonymous. Presented in 5 rhymed quatrains and an abcb rhyme scheme, this is the best entry of the bunch I've read in this contest so far.
Besides, I think I dated her for awhile. She was too melancholy even for me!
Best of luck to you in the contest.
I think you got this one sewed up.

A person can easily get so wrapped up in grief for the dead, they have nothing left for the living. This is a really good poem for the contest, you have shown how Grata Grief became grief personified. Well done and good luck in the contest. :) Sandra x

I was in her place for a while. It took a lot of doing to move on.

Dear Anonymous Poet;
thank you for sharing this work for the Personification of an Emotion contest. You have described grief well and pointed out the pain caused by holding onto the emotion.
Good luck in the contest,

I very much enjoyed ( if indeed that is the right word... it's almost schadenfreude) your poetry. Poor sad lady who grieves for everyone every minute of her day. She's etched in grief judging by your description of her. Good luck.

I am delighted you enjoyed meeting Greta even though she's a sad sack.

Reminds me of " moaning Myrtle" from Harry Potter.

After reading "Greta Grief", I find that it meets the requirements of the contest and makes a good entry. This poem flows and has rhythm. I can actually picture this. The image shown supports the title and poem.
And, yes, it could be possible for someone to be that sad all the time. I certainly hope not though.
Best of luck to you in the contest.
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. Maybe even Greta will smile at the bright gold star she earned.

Ah, the flames of cruelty, mixed with righteous indignation. Without any true understanding of another's pain and sorrow, you sling harsh fabrications without concern. I love it. Keep bringing those words... we all need to hear them.
