So true and do we ever learn the truth? Not for many years hence, and in the meantime we don't know what to believe. But I wouldn't do that job for all the tea in china! Love Dolly x

You've captured the vast majority of so-called public servants. Who elected those guys anyway. Maybe they're masochists. Great picture choice. It capture the essence of your poem. Good job.

Po/li/ti/cans are a pain 7
as they aim to shift the blame.7
They con/ceal, be/fu/ddle 6
muss or mu/ddle. 4........24 syllables.....good syllable count, nice rhyming, and concise. Good job.

Dear Mystery Poet,

So far, I feel this is one of the best poems I have read for this contest. It applies to ALL politicians, not just a few. And, unfortunately, I feel this is a lot of our problem. Thanks and good luck!

They do indeed but that is only one of their many gifts, they use the magical slight of hand, have mastered the deceptive conman routine and believe they can liberate with lies. You've got to love em, ha ha. Good luck!

A very brief poem that so thoroughly captures what I really, really don't like about our politicians. Of course there are exceptions, but you capture my grievance to a "t."

Experts at selling ice cubes to Eskimos is what my mother used to say. You captured this in a very short piece and a strong entry for the contest

Yep, rarely do they own up, and if they do, they are scorned, belittled and hated. Run out of DC....they don't fit in. Great entry, blessings...
