You've hit on a universal truth here, Tony. One cannot understand God. If we apply logic to the problem - He comes off in a negative light. One has to rely on faith.

I love this faith poem based on mathematics. No mathematics can define it as far as I am concerned. I love the x's and y's (why) in this.

-your presentation and usage of a syllogistic reasoning format to subsequently attract and convince the reader that faith is the overall common denominator to most complicated mathematical and/or empirical questions and/or problems.
-Your picture can be taken both as satirical and emphatical in nature and subsequently sets up and prioritizes the introduction of the conceptual theme.
-Just the title alone, "Unknown" also, introducers, to the reader, a thought process that makes the reader think that is about to get an answer to the question of life. This sparks an interest in the reader. So the pictures very appropriate and relative to the conceptual theme of your poem.
-Excellent ABCB rhyming and congruent rhythmical timing makes for enjambment and reading to be fluid and smooth throughout the writing without a hiccup or a syntactical break in the meaning and writing of this poetry.

Faith isn't really a word. Sure, we can look it up in our dictionaries and thesauri,
but faith has no true definition, nor synonym. Faith is a symbol for something. Just like your x. Replacing one ultimately undefinable symbol with another gets us nowhere.

So God equals five. At least he does in the golden triangle. How can a doubting Thomas such as you hope to win a Faith Poem contest? Most of the others will have a faith that is so certain it makes me wonder why the mountains of the world are not gambolling about like little lambs in springtime.
I do like the poem though. I have found that when one starts adversely criticising the poetry of the faithful the accuse one of criticising God. It makes life difficult.

I've had a slightly friendlier response to this than I expected! Indeed, very few people noticed the tongue in my cheek! I'm surprised that the ancients regarded 7 as God's number, when he so obviously fits so well into the golden triangle! Even Faith has 5 letters - and without faith there is no deity..
