That's something we don't see much anymore. The elegance of pearls always spoke a stately sense of formality. Wonder if it still means the same? Great poem to meet this picture challenge!

I love your rondelet. I'm not sure I had ever encountered this form before. I like the repetition of the line 'She loves her pearls.'
My interpretation of the poem is a lot darker than yours...
