I hate to admit it, but this is a relatable situation, especially in warmer weather months for like everybody. Well thought out and nicely written. Great perspective presented. Nice work.

Wow Bill. I knew that the USMC prepared you to be a cold blooded and efficient killer, but I did not know that extended to insect stage as well. Those of us who absolutely deplore pests such as the common house fly, wish to thank you for your continued service to your country and your fellow man.

Looks like us fanstroians are gong to be reading about one of worst nasty and germ spreader to be in the house

Are the rear of your series about flies going to be so catchy in my eyes filled with such good rhyme as this one?

Gert

This is a fabulous start for a new series. I was telling my family about the sloth poems yesterday, as everyone was talking about loving sloths. Now I will have to tell them about this series as we have a running joke about flies since my daughter killed one with a spray bottle of water when she was small-lol. Poem is so funny with the premise that the fly knew he was coming to die and a great form the way it was written with the palpable SWAT and all.

Hate them gallinipers! SWAT! SWAT! SWAT! You know... you can hold a fly in a cup of water, drown him, then bury him in a mound of salt and he will come back alive. Done it several times and it works. A friend showed me the trick and it amazed me. BOO-tastic!

I like the drowning part. That could then be followed by hitting it with a hammer.

You are really getting good at this. Your poem is smooth and, dare I say, interesting? The fly comes to you to die with your trusty fly swatter. First and last line unite your poem. All lines are excellent. Marilyn

Favorite line - 'windage right, won't need a spotter.'

Better flies than mosquitoes, although flies can be almost as pesky.

A New World of Flies. Should be interesting. 8-)

Haha I like that one. Flies in Australia are prolific in summer. They crawl up your nose and into the corner of your eyes. As you can imagine we sell a lot of fly swatters in Australia. Great work once again. I'm learning from you.
