Amen to that. Each day is a gift and if we are happy and enjoy life that's the aim of everyone. A well written and enjoyed 5-7-5 on the topic of longevity with appreciation. Marilyn

Dear Writer
Your 5-7-5 poems speaks volumes and fits the prompt well. This is wonderful to read when we think of how many reach old age and are suffering with many ailments. Your poem speaks of one who has always loved life and tried your best to continue doing so, into old age. The image is amazing and complements your poem well. All the best in the contest!
Kind regards,
Christine

Loving life as well as good health in one's "golden" years. Nice that it speaks about the contest theme in two ways. Me personally, I'd rather just have the "big one" and drop dead when my time comes.

Thanks, Thal, for your thumbs up. Listen to advice from this old guy, who's not Pollyannaish (for lack of a better word) - there are health benefits to thinking positively.

You're welcome - it was my pleasure.
