This is a sheer delight to read - as vivid as a scene on canvas and filled with color and sound and foreboding nicely juxtaposed with light and beautiful poetic inlay

I loved the analogy you've used in comparing our lives to storms, Janet.
But as all storms will eventually pass, and do, we wonder how often they will come, and whether or not we're strong enough to withstand them when they do.
Wonderfully well-rhymed and rife with vivid imagery.
I wish I had a six left for you...

You've penned a good poem.
My favorite part: 'And so, we choose our daily bread
from dark to light and between.'
In life, we are all faced with choices. Sometimes we may not make the right choice, but if given the opportunity again, the choice is still ours to make.
The image shown supports the poem. The background goes well with the picture and color of font chosen.
The author's notes are appreciated.
Thanks for sharing your poetry.
Good luck with your future writing.

The title, picture, background and font colors all compliment the poem. The poem is an analogy between the weather changes and the choices we make. The poem read well and enjoyed the rhymes used. In conclusion, we reap what we choose to plant in life.

God gave you two scenes and two choices, it sounds like Janet, well described my friend, in excellent rhyming verse, the flow of the work adds to its already impressive narration of the opposite themes, but yet painted by the same God, beautiful job my friend, a masterful job, well done, blessings, Roy

Very good. In my latest book The West, I wrote about an Indian who said that lightning was God throwing lightning bolts at people he didn't like.

Thank you Thomas for your thoughtful and most encouraging review. I really appreciate your comments. I loved your story in the "The West". My husband grew up thinking that when there was a thunder and lightning storm, it meant that God was mad at him.

always the calm before the storm for it is the way one choses what road to follow if going one way it will bring you sadness but the other will bring you gladness

Janet; this is simply lovely. The presentation was great and your words were powerful and image provoking. I could see the lightening and feel the thunder. I like to think we would all choose the beautiful sunset, but I know there are some that thrive on the storms.
Thank you for sharing,
