Wonderful job, my friend. I loved the play on words at the end where you change Midsummer's Night Dream, to scream. Only you, Dean, and it was marvelous.

I like the author's notes where you give us a deeper insight into the amount of time the play traversed. I didn't know that, but love the way it tightens up the plot.

Take care,
Rhonda

Creepy. 'Tales Of The Crypt,' creepy. Romance, I must get a chuckle out of this. Bad to the bone. This gives new meaning to romance. How you get these ideas is beyond human comprehension. ha ha, just saw an Alaskan wilderness show, some creep robbed graves, he collected human skulls and polished them. Had a collection of them in his cottage. This was true story. What this reminds me of. Oh was it Jeffry Donner, the cannibal? This is mid-summer madness! I lost my head...

Midnight Summers Dream is my favorite. I love the play. I love the movie more... And this is a cute horror spin on the truth of Romeo and Juliet. Well thought out and nicely written. Great work.

Happy July 4th! CHEERS!

Well, I was wondering how you would get Romeo and Juliet into your field of expertise. You definitely succeeded. Great entry for the challenge. I love the last line, perfect. I sure missed these little horror haiku.

Hmmm... Can't get anymore romantic than that. Or tragic for that matter. Huh, I never heard that it was only 5 days, interesting, my horror friend, :) - Kerry Have a Happy 4th of July

Hi Dean,

Again you've written another nice poem. I always look forward to
reading the too. I don't really care for the picture that you used.
Still it's wonderful that you received "All Time Best".

I know, Kat, but it's supposed to be a picture of Romeo & Juliet after the fact.
Thanks very much for reading, and for the six stars as well.

I have no where to go on the 4th of July.
My children and friends never invite me
    to go with them.

I'm very sorry to hear that, Kat.
I guess we'll both just hang out with each other together, right here on good Ol' FanStory...

The play Romeo and Juliet ends in the most appalling manner possible, with each committing suicide, when in fact they could easily have survived. True led to true disaster.

Never denigrate a pun. It was either Steve Allen or Johnny Carson who said those who say they hate puns are just jealous they didn't think of it first. Fairy well done Dean. - Wendy

Yes it is a tragic love story. Two senseless deaths from a senseless feud.
I like how you make it horror and infuse a second Shakespeare play to do that.
This is A Mid Summer Night's Dream.

Happy Fourth of July.

Keep writing.

Some excellent artwork to back up this haiku Dean. Yes the Romeo/Juliet tragedy work, spanned just a few days, and it such a pity, that two feuding bodies couldn't see eye to eye. At least they were only fictional. Well done, great job, blessings, Roy
