Yeah, you need a little sauce after a day like that. There's nothing like a shot of brandy and a hot fire. I'm sure everyone can sympathize, after all who hasn't had one?

Hi Cindy; LOL! Yes, after a good soaking, it would be wonderful to go home to a nice hot toddy!

Good thing I'm not in an art gallery. I just absolutely love that painting, and I'd probably buy it. I love your poem, rainy poems are always my favorites!!! Blessings...

LOL! I'm loving this poem. What a fun form to write and you've done a great job with it. Theme is amusing and happy-go-lucky. It tickled my funny bone. I'm happy to see you joined our group, Patty. Marilyn

Hi Marilyn; thank you so much for the lovely review of this poem. I had a good time taking on this 'Picture This' prompt. This picture could be taken so many ways - I just keyed in on the rain,

A very good poem. I'm not familiar with the style, but this is an excellent representation of it. You are very talented. I like that you write well in a variety of genres.

There's a challenging style of poetry! It's interesting how differently the one picture gets interpreted by people. I can only say I enjoyed reading

Hi Jill; there are so many similarities between the weather in the UK and the Pacific Northwest. I felt quite at home when I visited a few years back,

You viewed the picture much as I would have - cold and hard and kind of depressing. You wrote the poem perfectly. Loved the form.

It rained every single day in June here in Florida. It was getting old pretty fast. The good thing, it is not winter or is it cold. The bad thing, it pours buckets,a nd after it is so muggy. NIce poem, thanks for sharing,

Hi Heidi; thank you for the lovely review. It rains here a lot - the months from October through the beginning of May only saw 8 days without any precipitation. It was awful!

Weather has negative factors
It makes one miserable

Cold storm, freezing shoes. Life goes own. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read. There is very good imagery.

Hi Patty, Loved your take for this image. Your poem told of a hurry to get home put of the rain with your wet feet and glad to get to the door. Interesting style this Monchielle I like this.( just check you syllable count for these line 'Shoes filled with feezing water' ( 7) and 'Soon I'll hit the sauce (5) I may be wrong but just check. These lines did not distract from your poem I thought it was excellent, Cheers Christine

Hi Chrissy; thank you so much for the review of my rainy poem. I appreciate you pointing out the syllables - I went and made a few changes; I usually count syllables on my fingers, and I guess I got myself a bit confused. I'm glad you enjoyed the little story within the lines of the poem,
