This has great tongue-in-cheek humor. It clearly elicits a gallows guffaw for this cautionary tale. the use of a word with a b is very effective. I've learned when we pronounce a word with a b in it creates a little explosion in our mouth. There is more but this is enough. Good job

Very succinct, straight to the (needle) point. You really stuck Tomthe point and got your message clearly across in just a few pointed words.:)

This haiku, Fly Away Flu or Free Winter Bugs, brings up that situation people may be facing. Should they overcome the fear of the poke or suffer through the flu? Fun decision.

I do like your haiku although it does seem quite existential for a poem that
is usually about nature. However, that aside, it is well written and thought out
and make good sense.

This shorty spoke volumes regarding the dreaded flu and the reality of it. It also presented the preferred prevention method- the shot, the needle and the fear of many who realize the need. Your choice of art work was priceless. It does serve as a good reminder for one to get their flu shot. Great job Christine.

Lol. Well, I don't have needle phobia but I know some truly brave and buff guys who do! Is it winter for you? It's summer here and we've been struck by a summer cold! Well, at least, it's warmer now.

A well written haiku and so very true. If you have ever had the flu, the pain of a flu shot is insignificant compared to ten days of awful illness, my friend~Debbie

Hi Debbie, Yes the flu shot is nothing compared to a bout os the flu and I thought this may be a reminder for some. It is Winter here so the bugs are about. Thanks for stopping by Cheers Christine

LOL! I know a lot of people who would prefer the flu to getting a shot to prevent it. A cute and amusing haiku with truth to it. Love the artwork to accompany. Last line brings the piece home. Marilyn
