Love this. An important message for me, and to all...that everything, every battle, every victory, is only day-by-day. A creed for life. Blessings....

Yes, Irish Rain, it was and is my Creed, my Mantra for Life. Both in bad times to get me through. But ESPECIALLY in Good Times, ' Carpe Diem ', that's what I do THEN!:) not enough time in one short day or 2...or even a week....or now it's a year for me... they zip away so fast - do you know what???? I woke up one day and I was 70!!!!!!!!!***** Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaatttttttttttt!!! I gasped, HOW DID that happen????
Blessings always accepted with open heart, Anita.

thank you for sharing this part of your journey out of the dark with us. I love the main character of the poem - which I'm assuming is you - as she steps delicately along the path.
Well done,
~patty~

Thanks patty :) HA! You think I've dressed myself up in gorgeous gowns and stuff..... Hmmmm..... lets see.
'Delicately stepping', I Iike that - instead of 'it's like walking on glass :) Hope I can find all the 'JNAG's as' I marked them in my journals and bits of paper, or I'll have to start inventing, oh *******!!!!!!! , Anita

I loved this poem, Anio. The yellow background added to the effect of the image of the sun as light. The piece had a nice rhythm through the stanzas, easily moving you along in the story, effortlessly. Nice use of words to convey a "thousand points of light."

Bloviator you have no idea what a 6 star is like for someone new to 'creative writing' like I am. Thank you from a deep place from within me. I was an academic for 20 years, and that's how I wrote. Nothing creative or imaginative there. I wanted to " be a writer when I grew up " just like everyone else. Now I'm 70 and have emerged from 14 years of 'nowhere land' ( chronic illness, heart attack, depression ....) and been hurled by the Universe back into being Alive. What I'm posting is what I wrote at times when I was lucid, or before those bad times and I'm writing now too.
I really don't know 'where' poems like this 'come from' and I'm scared I won't be able to find my way back there :)
I'm so glad you 'got ' this poem. It did its work and that makes me feel good. Anita

Hello fellow traveller! I just invented things to get me through the days. I had REAL PEOPLE, like my DOG Flicka, and my FRIEND A, who never left me , not for a day. On good days I did jig-saws, and when I couldn't do that, I had a mindless routine that got me to bedtime and medications, thank the Docs for all that :)
Thanks for the comments and connections my friend - hugs and light and our blessings, Anita

I didn't have kids, I had my dogs! They had to be fed, let out to pee etc. and me the same........ But I had a FRIEND, who rang everyday and CAME, EVERY DAY! He saved my life, shopped for me. cooked for me, took my dogs for a walk, made me smile when I couldn't talk. I'm still with him. He's my Carer now. I live with him, his partner, their baby and her children.... :) Love ya' back, Anita xx

Comment from Charmisa Parker
I love the picture and design that this poem has. I love the message that this poem brings. What I picked up on from my perceptive is that despite having many obstacles, you need to have the strength to endure. Great work!

The strength to endure is exactly what's needed against this monstrous malady Charisma Parker. I'm glad that my work has conveyed that to you. It seems to have done its work. I'm so pleased. I'm new to this 'creative writing' . I was an academic for 20 years and their was nothing 'imaginative' or 'creative' allowed there!!!
Thanks for reading and reviewing, Anita.
