This poem speaks of a personal relationship with God. He is your spiritual father. I liked the last verse the best:
A child upon her daddy's lap
free from the day's alarms.
I cuddle up and say my prayers
wrapped in my Father's arms.
And for this, it gets my vote.

Yes, your poem is so reassuring and a true one for you that gives many hope when their life here falls short to find the help in which to console their troubling feelings of whatever one encounters, young & old, in a world that does not seem to hold all the answers to quite a lot...There is at least a loving God to get us through so much that no human can to comfort us and, in turn, allows us to face so much... if we put our trust and faith in Him.

Nice poem about your relationship with God ads a father figure. Your real dad could not do it nor your stepfather.. I understand, my father didn't know how to father me. I have grown on May own.... mostly, but sometimes I think God watchers over me..

it is always comforting to realize we do have a Father - even if we don't have one living in our house with us. I had to lean heavily on my relationship with God while I was growing up. I came to understand that no matter what happened to me - the people causing me pain would have to explain themselves to Him.
